1. Scope
This policy applies to the GNUMac website at gnumac.com, the accompanying portal, and the account registration, dedicated physical Mac mini rentals, order processing, and technical support services offered through them. It describes how information is handled whether you are browsing public pages or signed in to manage a rental.
This policy distinguishes between two types of data: account, order, payment, and support records used to establish and provide our services; and the code, build artifacts, models, assets, and other work files you store on a rented machine. Exclusive use of a machine does not mean its files are backed up automatically. Wiping a machine after its return does not delete all billing records.
Payment processors have separate rules for information they collect directly. See Section 4 for details. This policy is interpreted and applied under the laws of the jurisdiction in which the platform operator is based. Any dispute that must be resolved through legal proceedings will be submitted to a court with jurisdiction in that jurisdiction.
2. Information we collect
Account information includes the email address you provide and records needed for verification, sign-in, and account security. Order information includes the selected machine, location, rental period, add-ons, order ID, amount, and service status. Payment records include the payment method, payment status, and identifiers needed to reconcile transactions. See Section 4 for details about card processing and on-chain verification.
When you email us or submit a support ticket through the portal, we process the contact details, order number, and issue description in your message, along with any logs or screenshots you choose to provide. Please send only relevant excerpts of errors, and do not send passwords, private keys, full card details, signing materials, or personal information unrelated to troubleshooting. If we need to inspect machine settings, we will first confirm the scope with you in the ticket.
Access and security logs may include IP addresses, request times, pages visited, browser and device types, request outcomes, and unusual events. We use this information to detect unusual sign-ins and requests, troubleshoot service issues, and understand how our pages are used. Programs you deploy on a machine may also generate application logs. You are responsible for managing their contents and retention based on your needs.
3. How we use information
We use account and order information to confirm which services belong to you, provision your selected machine, show service status in the portal, and manage renewals, expiry, and returns. Payment records help us confirm receipt, match payments to orders, keep billing records, and handle transaction disputes. We do not use them to infer personal preferences unrelated to your rental.
We use support tickets and necessary technical logs to reproduce issues, investigate connection or configuration problems, and let you know what we find. When requesting support, share only information relevant to the issue. If an order number, error message, and the time the issue occurred are enough to locate it, there is no need to send a full project or business dataset.
We use access and security records to detect unusual sign-ins, abusive requests, and activity that could affect service security, to troubleshoot errors, and to improve our pages and service workflows. We process personal information only as appropriate for these purposes. If we need to use it for a purpose that is incompatible with the original one, we will explain the change and obtain any required authorization first.
4. Third-party processors
Services are billed in US dollars (USD). We accept USDT-TRC20 and Visa / Mastercard / Amex processed through Stripe. The checkout interface will show which payment options are available. If you pay by card, Stripe’s payment flow handles the card details needed to process the payment. GNUMac does not store full card numbers.
To match payments with orders, we process necessary information returned by the payment gateway, such as the transaction ID, amount, currency, and payment result. For USDT-TRC20 payments, we use the transaction hash, transfer amount, relevant addresses, and on-chain confirmation to verify payment. Blockchain records are public and cannot be changed or deleted by GNUMac alone.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with processors only to the extent needed for payment processing, service delivery, or security. If disclosure is legally required, we review the basis and scope of the request and, where permitted by law, notify the affected user. You can ask about the categories of processing related to your order using the contact options in Section 8.
5. Storage and retention
We retain account information for as long as needed to provide your account and rental services. We keep order, payment, and billing records as needed to fulfill agreements, reconcile accounts, handle transaction disputes, and meet applicable legal requirements. These requirements may mean that some records must be kept after an account is closed. We do not keep every category of information indefinitely, and closing an account does not immediately delete billing records that we are still required to retain.
We retain support tickets and technical logs for as long as needed to resolve issues, conduct security reviews, and handle disputes. When deciding how long to keep them, we consider their purpose, whether the service has ended, whether the issue has been resolved, and whether there is a legal obligation to retain them. You can ask what categories of information we hold about you, why we retain them, and what can be covered by a deletion request.
After a machine is returned, user data on its drives goes through a disk-wiping and system-reinstallation process. Any additional SSD is processed as well. Before the machine is rented out again, we check that it does not contain the previous user’s data. Before returning a machine, export your code, build artifacts, models, assets, and keys. Do not use a returned machine as an archive or rely on being able to access or recover files after the return.
When the retention period ends and there is no longer a reason to keep the information, we delete it or anonymize it so it can no longer identify you. Wiping a machine and deleting account records are separate processes. If you want to end a rental and request deletion of personal information, please specify both in your request.
6. Cookies and analytics
The website and portal use cookies or local storage as needed for sign-in sessions, security checks, and essential preferences. These technologies maintain your signed-in state across pages, protect requests, and save necessary settings. You can view, restrict, or clear this data in your browser settings. If you clear it, you may need to sign in again, and some session-dependent features may not work as expected.
We use first-party analytics to understand page visits, clicks on plan links, and completed actions, so we can see whether our content is clear and whether any part of the process is causing problems. Analytics events should record feature names and action types, not passwords, verification codes, private keys, support ticket contents, or files stored on a machine.
You can manage data stored on your device through your browser’s privacy and storage settings. You can also contact us to ask about the scope of analytics processing or make a related request. Clearing browser data affects only records in that browser; it does not automatically delete orders or billing information on our servers. To request action on those records, follow the process in the next section.
7. Your rights
Where applicable law provides, you can ask to access personal information we hold about you and learn how we use it; correct inaccurate information; receive a copy of available account or order information; export or delete relevant information; or object to certain processing. If we process information based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew it.
Send your request from your account email address or sign in to the portal and submit a support ticket. Tell us what you are requesting, which order or service it relates to, and what information you want us to address. To avoid disclosing information to someone else, we may ask you to verify your identity in a way proportionate to the risk of the request. We will never ask you to send your password, private keys, or full card details by regular email.
We assess export and deletion requests separately to determine what can be provided. Active orders, unresolved transaction disputes, or legal retention requirements may mean that some records cannot be deleted immediately. If so, we will explain why and what happens next. Account data exports do not include automatic packaging of work files stored on a machine; you are responsible for backing up and downloading those files during your rental.
If your request involves someone else’s information, explain your authority to make the request and do not include unrelated third-party data. We will review your request and respond through the original channel. If we need more information, we will tell you what is missing rather than ask you to resubmit everything.
8. Contact and policy updates
For privacy questions, requests about your personal information, or security reports, email support@gnumac.com or sign in to the portal and submit a support ticket. We recommend using “Privacy request” and the type of request as your email subject. In the message, include your account email, relevant order number, and what you would like us to do. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or full payment details.
We may update this policy as our service workflows, purposes for processing, or applicable requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page. If a significant change affects the purposes of processing, categories of information, or your rights, we will provide a clear notice through an appropriate channel and obtain renewed authorization where required. You may wish to keep a copy of the policy in effect when you submit a request for future reference.
If you have a question about a particular statement, please tell us which section and what you would like clarified. We will explain the relevant process and look into the specific account, order, or machine data involved rather than rely on a general answer. If you are signed in, please use a portal support ticket and link it to your order so we can verify the request and keep a record of our conversation.
