Match the term to your workload

Two models. Four rental terms.

Every Mac mini is a dedicated physical machine, not a virtual machine. You get exclusive use of the entire system’s CPU, memory, and storage for builds, development, and model experiments. Rates are the same at all four Asia-Pacific locations, from $21.3/day, billed in USD.

Check memory and storage use with a real project before deciding whether to extend your rental. Prices below are listed for each billing term.

Models & rental terms

Choose a Mac that fits your workload

Both models use M4. They differ in memory and built-in SSD capacity—not in shared resource quotas. Rent by the day to test an environment, by the week for a focused build, or by the month or quarter for ongoing work. Each term has its own listed price; rates are not calculated by multiplying the daily price.

Daily pricing is shown. Your selected model, location, and rental term will be carried into checkout.

Storage add-ons

Add storage for files, not memory

Estimate the combined size of your projects, toolchains, dependencies, caches, and output files before adding SSD storage. Add-ons are billed separately; full-term prices are listed below. Review the model and add-ons together when ordering.

Add-on prices · USD · Thunderbolt 5 link charged per machine
Add-on Day Week Month Quarter
+1TB SSD $2.7 $7.2 $13.3 $36.2
+2TB SSD $5.4 $14.4 $26.6 $72.4
Thunderbolt 5 link (per machine) $1.3 $3.4 $6.3 $17.1

Keep projects, caches, and deliverables separate

Keep regenerable build caches separate from source code, certificate materials, and deliverable packages you need to retain. Consider a +1TB SSD for large asset libraries, or +2TB SSD if you need to keep model files and multiple projects on the machine. Add-on SSDs are also erased when you return the machine, so they are not a substitute for an independent backup.

Plan the workload before linking multiple machines

Thunderbolt 5 linking is an add-on priced per machine. It does not combine multiple Macs into one system with more memory. Before confirming the connection setup, specify the number of machines, how they will exchange data, and whether your software supports multi-machine workflows. Extra hardware only helps when your tasks can run in parallel.

Choose for your workload

Size up based on peak project usage

The table offers starting-point recommendations, not performance guarantees based on tool names. Run a representative project, check memory pressure and free storage, and count concurrent tasks before scaling the setup to your team’s production workflow.

Setup recommendations · Start with a small, repeatable task
Workload & task scope Recommended model Suggested extra storage Suggested starting term
Light builds
Build and unit-test a single Xcode project
GNU Core M4
M4 · 16GB RAM · 256GB SSD
Check built-in storage first; consider a +1TB SSD if you have large caches and dependencies. Test your toolchain by the day, then choose a term to match your build schedule.
Daily development
Run multiple simulators alongside Unity or Flutter projects
GNU Studio M4
M4 · 24GB RAM · 512GB SSD
Consider a +1TB SSD for assets and multiple projects; look at +2TB SSD if you keep a large archive of build outputs. A week can cover a development and regression-testing cycle; compare monthly and quarterly pricing for ongoing use.
Large language model inference
Run quantized models with MLX or llama.cpp
GNU Studio M4
M4 · 24GB RAM · 512GB SSD
Check the file size for a single model; consider a +1TB or +2TB SSD to compare multiple model versions. Test loading and inference by the day, then extend the term to match your experiment plan.
Rental trade-offs

Compare hardware costs with the time you’ll use it

For short-term tasks, focus on meeting your delivery date. Longer projects also call for environment management and data migration. Dedicated rentals give you predictable access to the whole machine. Buying suits long-term needs if you’re prepared to handle procurement and operations. With a shared VM, check the hardware, resource isolation, and software compatibility separately.

Three options compared · Delivery time and resource sharing depend on the provider’s arrangements
Comparison GNUMac dedicated rental Buy your own hardware Shared VM
Cost Rent from $21.3/day, with listed daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly rates. Upfront hardware cost, plus depreciation, networking, and day-to-day management. The price may be lower, but check how resource contention could affect task duration.
Delivery Order through the console for remote access; check your order for the actual status. Procurement, setup, and networking are up to you and may take several weeks. Often quick to provision, but that doesn’t mean you get exclusive access to physical Apple hardware.
Resource access Exclusive use of the entire machine, with no CPU, memory, or storage shared with other renters. Exclusive use of the machine; you manage the hardware and access. Host resources are shared with others; isolation depends on how the product is implemented.
Scaling and upgrades Switch models or add SSD storage from the catalog; plan an environment migration before changing machines. Upgrading usually means buying new hardware and handling the old equipment. Limited by host capacity, available specs, and the platform’s migration options.
Data at the end of your rental Export your data before returning the machine. Data on the machine and add-on SSDs is erased after return. Back up, wipe, store, and dispose of your own storage media. Check the deletion policies for images, snapshots, disks, and backups.
Payment & renewal

Review your order and pay in USD

Your order includes the model, add-ons, and rental term you select. Before paying, check the location, term, quantity, and final amount. Available payment gateways are confirmed by the backend at checkout.

USDT-TRC20

After selecting this method, follow the payment instructions for your order and check the network, amount, and recipient details before transferring. Don’t reuse payment details from an earlier order or assume that an initiated transfer means your order is confirmed.

For payment queries, keep your transaction record and include your order number and transaction details in a console ticket. Never share passwords, private keys, or remote access credentials.

Refer to your order for payment and receipt status

Visa / Mastercard / Amex

Card payments are processed by Stripe and charged in USD. Complete any verification required on the payment page, then return to your order to check the payment status. We don’t store full card numbers.

If the payment page is interrupted, check your order status in the console before trying again. Don’t rely on a page redirect alone to confirm payment. For billing queries, provide your order number; never email your full card number.

Available gateways are confirmed at checkout

Confirm before renewing, changing terms, or switching models

Use the expiry time shown on your console order to plan your work. If you receive an expiry reminder, still check the renewal order and payment status. A reminder doesn’t renew your rental, and an incomplete payment doesn’t extend it.

Before a long build, check how much rental time remains and allow time to upload deliverables and back them up. Changing models means moving to a different memory and storage setup; it does not automatically upgrade a running machine. Confirm the migration plan through a console ticket, then move your projects, dependencies, keys, and output files.

If you won’t renew, export any data you want to keep before returning the machine. At the end of the rental, disks—including add-on SSDs—are wiped and the system is reinstalled. This doesn’t replace your own backup process.

Before you order

Add these six checks to your setup notes

You don’t have to move your entire environment to the cloud first. Start by defining the first task, how you’ll verify it, and how you’ll wrap up. That’s often more useful than choosing the longest rental term upfront.

  • Workload defined

Specify your first task, such as a full build, unit tests, or loading a model, and prepare a reproducible project with dependency notes.

  • Location chosen for your team

Choose from Singapore, Japan (Tokyo), South Korea (Seoul), and Hong Kong. For interactive screen sharing, consider the network route from the operator to the location.

  • Rental term and renewal understood

Check the listed daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly prices, along with the expiry time shown in the console. Check the remaining rental time before starting a long task.

  • Storage needs confirmed

Add up your source files, dependencies, caches, assets, and output files to decide whether you need a +1TB or +2TB SSD. Arrange an independent backup too.

  • Remote access ready

For graphical work, prepare a screen-sharing client; for automation, set up SSH and a public key. Retrieve credentials from the console and store them securely.

  • Payment method selected

Pay in USD using USDT-TRC20 or Visa / Mastercard / Amex via Stripe. The available gateway at checkout is final.

Choose a model and get your first task running.
